Auto paper towels distributor Paper Towel India said it will shut down March 27 and lay off more than 1,000 people.

The company said in a statement on Tuesday that the shutdown was not related to the government shutdown and that the company was working with the Indian government to set up a bank account to cover any loss incurred due to the closure.
